The Power of Prayer & Devotion

I want to share this with you all...

Jeremiah 29:12 & 13 says, Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Isn't that an awesome promise? God says "I will listen to you". He hears ours prayers...and answers them. He promises that if we seek Him with our whole being...He will make himself manifest. Awesome!! I just had to share that with you...it seems that God has really been trying to reveal to me lately that if I seek him whole-heartedly I will find Him...and prayer...I have read so many things on prayer in the last week and when I read this familiar verse this morning...it really stuck out, especially after last nights Bible study & a situation this weekend with my car, that God hears. PRAISE GOD!!! It is becoming more apparent to me that God is shaping us all at this specific time! Right now! We have been studying so much about being refined in the fire and building character...and it's happening! I notice it in our fellowship together, our prayers, and the love that is shared between us all. God is so good!!

God has given us so many colorful ways to see His love for us!

Sabbath at the Dunes

Don't I look like I was going to fall on Melanie? Nah...we were just being crazy!!

That water felt pretty good considering how cold it was out there!!

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me. "The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

This brings a song to mind...

A Father's Love

Isn't this the sweetest thing you have ever seen? A father and his child...ya know, our Father is always showing His love to us by the wonderful things that He created in nature. Praise God for loving us and always wanting to give us the desires of our hearts!!

The Group

This is my wonderful group of friends...we all bonded after our campout up North this summer. We just finished our 13 mile canoo trip with this great group pic! Yes, that is Pastor Dan's head behind Adrianne. :O) I'm so thankful for these friends and that awesome time that we shared!
